My name is Shelley Jones and I am the founder & owner of Switch Stance Surf & Skate. I am a specialist surfboard & accessories importer & distributor here in NZ. Specializing in shortboards, minimals, longboards, hybrids, custom orders, accessories, hand planes & balance boards brought directly to you, no middle man!
My goal is to provide top quality, handmade surfboards to customers keeping the prices realistic & honest. I strive to give you the best customer service experience possible and have returning customers who can vouch for my perfection. My job is to make your experience easy, pleasurable and satisfactory.
I have been surfing for 28 years and I would proudly admit that I know my stuff when it comes to surfing! Surfing has been my first love from a very young age and it will be my last love. I was born and raised in South Africa, along the Durban beach front. I starting achieving good results at a young age due to dedication, motivation, a surfing family and excellent equipment.
I love surfing and want to see you stoked just as much as me, so let me help you, feel what I feel! I know boards, I know surfing, I know waves and I know products.
I am now proud to be importing a good range of reliable and quality products into NZ. My current range is Graham Smith Shapes (Smith Shapes/G-Force), Elton-Lee Ireland (ELS), Aerial Material accessories and Swelltech Surfskate boards. I hand make the Pipe Surfa NZ Balance Boards. All products are sourced locally and are made by myself, in my garage, at home. I love being creative and working with my hands so was the next step for me to keep busy and expand my growing business.
My goal is to get surfers, potential surfers and experienced surfers on the right equipment. To me it’s not about getting a sale, it’s about YOU and getting YOU on the right board. For some reason, if I can’t help you, I will happily refer you to someone who can.
